The chairman of Aba North Stakeholders of PDP and former Executive chairman of the local government, Prince Stánley O. Ogbonna has announced his resignation from the party.
In a resignation letter addressed to the chairman of Umuola wards 8 Aba-North L.G.A, he also said he took the decision after a wide consultation.
He said, “This is to officially notify you of my resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with effect from today as dated.

“This decision is taken after wide consultations with political allies and friends.
“I thank the party for affording it’s platform to serve in some capacities.
Similarly, a former Transition Chairman of Obingwa local government area, Hon. Foy Eze Walton has resigned his membership of the party.
His letter of resignation dated 6th May, 2024 reads in part, “I wish to inform you of my decision to resign my membership from People’s Democratic Party (P.D.P).
“Thank you and God bless you.”
