Hon. Nnamdi Ibekwe
The wave of resignations rocking the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State has continued, as Hon. Nnamdi Ibekwe, the lawmaker representing Bende North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, has officially dumped the party.
In a letter dated and addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Igbere A, Elder Eme Onyekazi, Hon. Ibekwe attributed his decision to leave the party to unresolved internal crises bedeviling the party both at the state and ward levels.
While the lawmaker did not disclose his next political move, his exit adds to the growing list of PDP members in Abia State who have recently severed ties with the party, raising fresh concerns about the party’s stability and cohesion ahead of future elections.
Political analysts say Ibekwe’s resignation could have implications for the PDP’s strength in Bende North and may influence political realignments in the coming months.
