THE Anambra State House of Assembly has given kudos to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for what it described as his commitment in constructing quality roads across Anambra South Senatorial zone of the state.
Among the roads visited by the lawmakers include, Okpunoeze- Nnewi Hotel road, Ufuma -Awa -Ndiukwyenu -Amannsea Road, Ezira -Umuomaku -Enugwu Umuonyia Road, Ikenga- Igboukwu road, Ekwulobia flyover and bus terminal, Ajali -Akpu -Nawfija- Ufuma – Ogbunka road, among others.
Udeze, who expressed satisfaction with what they saw on ground, applauded Governor Soludo for keeping to his words.
According to him, “not only that the roads visited were of super quality, the level and pace of work done so far by the contractors are also commendable.”
The Speaker therefore enjoined the residents to always support the state government as it has shown the capacity to turn around the deplorable condition of road Infrastructure in the state to an enviable height.
Some of the law makers who were on the inspection train, including Mr. Paul Obu of Orumba North Constituency, Mr Tony Moubike representing Aguata Constituency two and his Aguata Constituency One counterpart, Mr Anayo Okpalaeke, observed that the roads when completed will no doubt aid their constituents in the evaluation of agricultural produce as well as free flow of traffic.
Also speaking, the member representing Nnewi North Constituency, Mr Augustine Ike and his Nnewi South Two counterpart, Mr Nonso Atuchukwu noted that past administrations had played politics with the Okpunoeze Nnewi Hotel road until Governor Soludo came and matched words with action , thereby winning the trust of the people of the area.
The member representing Ihiala Constituency One and Chief Whip of th and e House , Mr. Jude Ngobili, as well as the member representing Onitsha North one Constituency, Mr.Justice Azuka,while commending the magnanimity of the governor in road construction, also lauded his good governance in all sectors of the state economy.
