Ahead of the forthcoming November 6 gubernatorial election in Anambra State, a Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, Valentine Ozigbo has vowed that nobody will rig elections
Ozigbo made the vow while briefing journalists during his consultations with Anambra indigenes in Abakaliki.
He vowed that his mandate will be protected during the upcoming election.
He said: “The Court remains the last hope of the common man and we thank the judiciary for giving us victory and being fair in their judgment.
“I am grateful for the efforts of the governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, extraction. I am a man of peace and I believe in every situation, we will achieve a win-win situation.
“What happened in the court is a good development for Anambra people including those who took me to court. I will reach out to them and as you know, it will be a work in progress.
The governorship candidate, however, urged political stakeholders of PDP in Anambra State to embrace peace and be united to enable the party takes over the Anambra State government come November 6, 2021.
“The Umbrella is very big to accommodate everybody, opponents are not within but outsiders. I am urging every PDP member in Anambra state to come together because this is the best time for PDP to takeover Anambra state and nothing should be spared.
“We are making sure, we mobilize everybody to vote and we are confident that the votes will count. We need to do what we need to do, to make sure we protect our mandate.
“Nobody is going to write any result, it can only be what happened in the polling unit and therefore, I am confident of victory in Anambra state because our votes will definitely count,” he said.
