A chieftain of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Engr. Uchenna Okogbuo has dismissed insinuations that the party is factionalised, stating that those who want to distract the party ahead of the November 6 Anambra Governorship Election are the ones envious of its guaranteed victory.
The Deputy Chairman (South Zone) of the party said Odozie Njoku, factional chairman of the party is an impostor who wants to cause distraction in the party with false claims, insisting that only Victor Oye-led National Executive Council of APGA is the only constitutionally recognised national leadership of the party.
Speaking with ABN TV on Friday, Engr. Okogbuo describes that primary election which produced the former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Charles Soludo as candidate of the party ahead of the election as transparent,

He said the primary election which was televised live is a manifestation of APGA integrity not only in electing candidates but in all its affairs.
The deputy chairman of the party called on the public to ignore reports that APGA is divided, adding that the social media speculations are calculated efforts to distract APGA.
He insisted that the national leadership of INEC has accorded legitimacy to the candidacy of Soludo, adding that the party will win the election because of the credibility APGA has built-in running affairs of the Anambra state government.
