The duly elected member of the House of Representatives for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency, Amobi Ogah has laid to rest the political career of Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, former Reps member and now the Minister of State for Labour and Employment.
The Court of Appeal on Friday set aside the judgement of the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Umuahia which upturned the victory of the young and vibrant Ogah.
Labour Party’s Ogah was declared winner of the February 25 National Assembly election, defeating APC’s Onyejeocha who spent about 12 years as a member of the House of Representatives.
Analysts say, with this Onyejeocha who had repeatedly boasted that the reps seat is her entitlement may find it difficult to regain her political relevance.
More details later.
