The just concluded direct primary election for Isikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency of Abia State has produced Chief Amaobi Ogah as the winner.
He was on Wednesday declared winner by the returning officer Okorie Agwu in Bende local government area.
Amaobi a total of 152 votes to emerge unopposed at the primary election.
In his acceptance speech, he said whatever God has destined to be will always come to reality, adding that in months to come, more people will identify with the party.
He urged the party members not to relent in doing good,stating that the ticket given to him will never be in vain and he will put all his effort to carry everyone along especially from the grassroot.
He also noted that he has come to give a new look to the state, adding that he has a vision to make things better in the Constituency and will work tirelessly for the victory of the party at all levels.
Speaking earlier the Deputy State Chairman of the party Hon Ijioma Okey encouraged all the members to get their PVC ready and should not give excuses on the election day.
He called on them to come out in mass and vote for the right persons that will make the state and country at large a better place to live.
Ijioma told the party members not to vote because of money, rather they should vote with conscience the right candidate that has the interest of the people at heart.
