While applauding the President for the feat, the APC stalwart said it has the capacity of restoring the people’s confidence in the country’s electoral system.

In a chat with ABN TV on Friday, Amobi, the CEO Pauli Mama Group urged his constituents, Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency to keep hope alive, noting that their votes would count in the 2023 general election.

The Act among other things provides for electronic transmission of votes from the polling units, making it difficult for manipulation of figures.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday signed into law the Bill which many Nigerians believe would strengthen the country’s electoral system and bring confidence in the sanctity of the ballot.

Civil society organisations and activists had earlier in the week staged a peaceful protest in Abuja, urging the President to sign the amended electoral bill into law.

The President has attracted accolades since signing into law the amended electoral Act.
