The Media and Public Affairs Team of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has dismissed as false and malicious recent claims circulating in some quarters alleging that the former Abia State governor has been declared persona non grata in parts of Abia North Senatorial District.
In a press statement issued to clarify the situation, the team described the reports as fabricated, inciteful, and deliberately designed to mislead the public and undermine the senator’s reputation.
According to the statement, the reality across Abia North tells a different story, noting that communities in Arochukwu, Ohafia, Bende, Isuikwuato, and Umunneochi Local Government Areas remain united in their support for Senator Kalu, citing his years of visible service, principled representation, and sustained advocacy for the people.
The media team further emphasized that the senator has consistently championed the Igbo cause through developmental initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and legislative influence backed by measurable results. It argued that the rumours being circulated are calculated attempts to confuse supporters and distort public perception, but do not reflect the true sentiments of the people within the district.
Urging residents and the general public to disregard misinformation, the statement called on citizens to remain guided by facts, performance, and truth, stressing that leadership rooted in service will continue to command enduring support across Abia North.
The clarification was signed by the Media and Public Affairs Team on behalf of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
