The Federal Government has expressed its commitment to carry Abians along in its agricultural policies to further guarantee food security in the state.
ABN TV reports that the Managing Director Nigeria Film Corporation, Dr Chidia Maduekwe made this known on Tuesday during the flagging off of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s anchor borrowers programme.
He said the agricultural programme is one of the steps being taken by the government to improve the welfare of Abians in agriculture.

Dr. Maduekwe expressed gratitude over the number of persons who turned out for the exercise.
He said Abia is not faring well in the areas of agriculture, saying the exercise will be spread across the 17 local government areas of the state.
He said the Federal Government is partnering with National Directorate of Employment (NDE) to ensure that the youths in Abia are empowered through agriculture.
