After Reaching Out To Abia Pensioners In Aba, Udensi Takes Succour To Senior Citizens’ Homes, Targets 17 LGAs

Renowned philanthropist and security expert Sir Udensi again taken taken succour to homes of the elderly and pensioners in Abia after flagging of palliative outreach on December 9, 2021 in Aba, commercial centre of Abia.

The exercise which has taken place in Arochukwu and Ohafia will cover Isuikwuato, Bende and Umunneochi this week.

The aim according to him is to reach those who could not for one reason or the other be available at the Aba venue of the earlier exercise where about ten thousands pensioners and the elderly were reached.

Speaking at the venue of the palliative and cash distribution to the senior citizens in Ohafia on Monday, Sir Chikwe Udensi says charity is his passion, stating that he will contribute his utmost best in lifting the burden of the indebted Abia pensioners.

The exercise which is being conducted by Chikwe Udensi Foundation has seen millions of Naira distributed in charity as well as bags of rice and other food items to the elderly, ABN TV reports.

The sponsor and founder of the Foundation, Sir Udensi said all 17 local government areas in Abia State will benefit from the pensioners and elderly persons outreach.

The Director General of Chikwe Udensi Foundation, Engr. Uche Adiele, expressed dissatisfaction that the state government has not done enough in alleviating the suffering of the senior citizens through regular and timely payment of pensions.

He noted that the number of people who come out to benefit from the exercise surpasses expectations, emphasising that the organisation has developed a strategy to ensure that everyone goes home with something even though they are neglected by the state government.

He expressed the readiness of the Foundation to continue to support the pensioners and the elderly, expressing disappointment that after serving the state, they have not been able to access their pensions.

He called on good spirited Abians to join forces with Sir Udensi to reach out to the pensioners and elderly persons and to give them a good life.
