After Electoral Defeat, Ikpeazu Sacks Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Others

Barely a month after losing his bid to represent the people of Abia South in the Senate and two weeks after failing to produce anointed candidate as his successor, governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has announced the sack of all Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Technical Officers.

The governor expected to bow out of office May 29 had earlier sacked some local government chairmen as well as heads of tertiary institutions in the state.

The latest gale of sack of government appointees was announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem in a statement on Thursday.

The Governor further directs the State Accountant General to ensure immediate payment of March,2023 stipends to all the affected appointees.
