After Deadly Ibadan Stampede, Actress Opeyemi Aiyeola Cancels Humanitarian Outreach

Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has announced the cancellation of her planned charity events, citing concerns over potential risks and consequences.

Her decision followed the tragic detention of Queen Naomi and Hamzat Oriyomi after a stampede at their charity funfair claimed 35 lives.

During a live chat with fans, Opeyemi expressed her fears about organising public giveaways that might lead to legal trouble.

She pledged to focus on supporting her family members in need to avoid such risks.

The actress also advised other Nigerians to learn from the unfortunate incident involving Oriyomi and Naomi, urging caution when undertaking charitable initiatives.

“I am no longer doing giveaways. I am done. I have family members that need help. I will do my giveaway with them. If helping people will land someone in prison, I am out. People should learn from the case of Alhaji Hamzat Oriyomi and The Queen Naomi”, she said.
