AFCON: Every Country Afraid Of Nigeria’s Super Eagles – Kanu

Former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu has claimed that every country participating in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, is afraid of Nigeria.

Kanu made the declaration after the Super Eagles defeated Ivory Coast 1-0 in a Group A tie on Thursday.

A penalty goal from captain William Troost-Ekong gave Nigeria all three points against Ivory Coast at the Stade Olympique Ouattara.

The result means Nigeria is now in second position in Group A with four points from two games while Ivory is in third position with three points from two games.

The Super Eagles will now face Guinea-Bissau in their last Group game on Monday.

Reacting, Kanu in a tweet via his X account, wrote: “KAN U BELIEVE IT congratulations. Every country is afraid of our dear super eagles so let’s believe we can do it.

“WELL DONE BOYS AND WELL DONE THE COACHING CREW and thanks to all that supported and prayed for us @ng_supereagles #africa.”
