Nigeria winger, Ademola Lookman has expressed his desire to help the Super Eagles have a positive outing at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Atalanta of Italy star will be representing Nigeria in a major tournament for the first time.
The 26-year-old represented England at the youth level before switching allegiance.
”Just like everyone, I do my best for the team and bring my A-game to this tournament for Nigeria and the fans. We’ll see as a team where that takes us,” Lookman told the Super Eagles media.
Lookman also commented on the team’s ambition going into the competition.
“As a squad and and as a team, we have got a strong mindset and we are together, you know like the slogan let’s do it again, we are fighting to do it again,” he added.
“I think as a team like I said, we are together, we are behind each other. As individuals, we believe in ourselves and as a team, we believe in ourselves, that is the mindset.”
