Adamawa Governor, Fintiri Raises NYSC Members’ Pay By N10,000

The governor of Adamawa state, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on Tuesday increased the monthly allowance of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in the state with ₦10,000 (ten thousand naira).

Fintiri disclosed this in a statement and said he was excited to welcome the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream II Corps members to Adamawa State.

“Your dedication to nation-building is recognized, and we’re enhancing your stay with an additional N10,000 increase in your monthly allowance,” he wrote on X.

Fintiri added that the extra ₦10,000 is meant to cushion the effects of the removal of fuel subsidy.

The Adamawa governor said that he has also directed essential supplies of food items to the youth corpers in the state for a memorable orientation experience.

He further urged every youth corper deployed to Adamawa state to engage, make friends, and discover their talents during the Orientation Course.
