ABSU Gets New Vice-Chancellor As Ikonne Takes A Bow

Abia State University Uturu (ABSU) now has a new Vice-Chancellor.

Prof Onyemachi Maxwell Ogbulu takes over from Prof. Uche Ikonne whose tenure of office expires this month.

The Professor of Finance was before now the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University.

His appointment takes effect from the 1st of December, 2020.

A release signed by the Secretary to State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem and made available to ABN TV, says the appointment follows the formal presentation of the recommendation of the Governing Council led by Senator Adolphus Wabara, Ph.D., to the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu sequel to the expiration of the tenure of the incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Prof Uche Ikonne, on the 30th of November, 2020.
