ABSU Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Emezue Kidnapped

The Deputy Vice Chancellor of Abia State University Uturu, ABSU, Prof. Godwin Emezue has been abducted by unidentified gunmen.

Prof. Emezue was abducted in a filling station around Umuopara in Umuahia South LGA where he has gone to refill his tank, along with his wife.

Sources told ABN TV that no fewer than three men had accosted him at the fuel station, dragging him into an already waiting Lexus SUV and collected his wife’s ATM card.

The distraught wife said the abductors of her husband sped away towards the Imo-Abia border towards the Malaysian market.

When contacted by ABN TV, the spokesperson of Abia State Police Command, ASP Maureen Chinaka said he has not been briefed on the development.
