The management team of a leading online media platform in Nigeria, ABN TV has paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police in Abia, CP Janet Agbede, informing her of its new flagship programme “ABN CRIME UPDATE”.
The programme is designed for the coverage of crime news in the state and across the nation and security agencies.
At the meeting, the Director ABN TV, Mr. Ifeanyi Okali thanked the CP for consolidating on the efforts of her predecessor in curbing crime in the state.
He said CRIME UPDATE comes up every Thursday on ABN TV and Radio simultaneously.
The Commissioner of Police while expressing gratitude to the management for finding time to visit her also extolled the organization for devoting adequate attention in the coverage of crime news.
According to the CP, she has monitored with keen interest the ABN TV’s news coverage pattern, describing it as balanced, urging other media organizations to take a cue from it.
CP Agbede appealed to ABN TV to amplify the good works the Command under her leadership has been doing in curbing crime especially this festive period.
She assured the readiness of her officers and men to ensure that Abians sleep with their eyes closed at all times.
The ABN TV legal adviser, Barr. Victor Etie used the opportunity of the visit to inform the CP that the media organization has not encountered any legal battle for a long time on the account of unprofessional news reportage, saying other media organizations should imbibe the same spirit.
