The Director ABN TV, Mr Ifeanyi Okali was on Thursday presented with the plaque for his award of excellence by National Association of Ohafia Students in his Office, Umuahia, Abia state capital.
He was recently honoured for his contributions to the development of Ohafia community by the students body.
Presenting the award, the President General of National Association of Ohafia Students, NAOS, worldwide comrade Idika Michael, said the award is meant to recognize the indigenes of Ohafia who have worked tirelessly in ensuring that students from Ohafia both home and diaspora are excel in their academic pursuit.
Explaining the process of selection, comrade Idika said the Ohafia students both in Nigeria and Diaspora were involved in the selection process which saw the ABN TV Director as one of those who met the criteria for recognition.
He said Mr. Okali has used his media platform to promote the welfare of Ohafia people and brought the community to global limelight.
Responding, the ABN TV Director thanked the students body for the honour, saying he will continue to give voice to people of Ohafia and others in an effort to bring their concerns to the fore through his medium.
While wishing the students the best in their future endeavors, Mr. Okali assured them that the next edition of the award will be streamed live by ABN TV free of charge on various social media platforms.
