ABN TV Boss Presents Man Of The Year 2021 Igbere TV Award To Obi Cubana (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

The Director ABN TV, Mr. Ifeanyi Okali on Wednesday handed over the award of Igbere TV Man of the Year to the chairman Cubana Group, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana.

At a brief ceremony in Abuja, the Anambra born socialite was flanked by friends and associates while he received the award.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Obi Cubana had missed the Igbere TV Leadership Excellence Award which took place at Sheraton Hotels Abuja on November 2, 2021 where he was scheduled for the presentation.

Handing over the award, Mr. Okali who was chairman of the award planning committee applauded Obi Cubana for his philanthropic gestures especially in touching the lives of young people and the less privileged people in the society.

According to Okali, the award is a recognition that the businessman is conscious of his environment and needs of the people, urging him not to relent.

Receiving the award, Obi Cubana expressed gratitude to the management of Igbere TV for nominating him for the award which he said he so much cherishes.

He pledged to continue whatever thing he has done in the past, particularly humanitarian works, empowerment and business mentorship that earned him the award.

He says the recognition is an expectation to do more, assuring that he would raise the tempo of his people-oriented activities.

In his remarks, the Director Igbere TV, James Anyalekwa said Obi Cubana garnered over a million from among Nigerian youths whose lives he has in one way or the other touched.

According to Mr. Anyalekwa, the massive vote cast in the online electioneering which lasted over 4 weeks was a show of solidarity from youths of the country and beyond for Obi Cubana.

Explaining reasons for the 2021 edition of Igbere TV Leadership Excellence Award, Mr. Anyalekwa, said it is for the dual purpose of celebrating excellence among Nigerians who have done something exceptional in affecting the lives of others as well as identifying and impacting the lives of less privileged persons especially some senior citizens of the country who have no roofs over their heads.

The two core objectives of the 2021 Igbere TV Leadership Excellence Award is to celebrate excellence among those who have positively affected the society.

“Also, we have identified six senior citizens from six geopolitical zones of the country who have difficulty in terms of accommodation. We have moved round the country and identified them and to use this platform to affect their lives in the 2022 by developing a low cost housing for six of them in six geopolitical zones of the country” he said.

High point of the event was the unveiling of the prototype low cost housing by Igbere TV management and award organizing committee.
