As part of efforts to identify with widows at the 2021 celebration of mothering Sunday at Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Solid Rock Parish Umuahia Abia State, the Director ABN TV, Mr. Ifeanyi Okali on Sunday, March 14, 2021, donated 26 sets of fabrics (wrappers) to widows in the Church.
In a chat with our correspondent on Sunday, Mr. Okali said he was motivated to make the donation to engender a sense of belonging as well as in obedience to divine injunction urging love and care for widows.
According to Okali, women generally play a vital role in making the world worth living, particularly in the area of providing the needed care for families, adding that they have not been fully appreciated.

While adding that this gesture is in the spirit of the 2021 International Women’s Day, Mr. Okali said at a period when a lot of families are faced with economic challenges, finding it difficult to meet up with their obligations, widows, and orphans must be shown a reasonable love to mitigate the suffering they pass through.
According to Okali, plans are also ongoing to make available food items to some orphanage homes around Umuahia and environs to show them that society has not forgotten them.
The company also provided non-pharmaceutical interventions to essential workers and corporate organisations at the peak of COVID-19 in Abia.
At the moment, no fewer than 10 primary school pupils are enrolled on the ABN TV boss’ scholarship scheme.
