A 24-year-old Abia born Ada Joy Agwu Eme has been crowned the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2022 after she defeated 36 other contestants from across the states of the Federation and FCT.
The event which took place on Friday October 21 at Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos was the MBGN 34th edition.
Ada Joy Agwu Eme represented Abia in the keenly contested beauty pageant.
ABN TV reports that Ada is from Amaogudu Abiriba in Ohafia Local Government Area.

By defeating other contestants, she grabs the title of Miss World Nigeria 2022.
She succeeds last year’s winner Oluchi Madubuike and will now prepare to represent her country at the 71st Miss World pageant on a date yet to be announced.
Miss Edo, Montana Onose Felix, finished second and received the title of Miss Universe Nigeria 2022 while Miss Anambra, Genevieve Ukatu, Miss Abuja, Ifeoma Uzogheli, and Miss Lagos, Lydia Balogun rounded out the Top 5 and took home the titles Miss Supranational Nigeria, Miss Ecowas Nigeria, and Miss Tourism Nigeria, respectively.
The new Miss World Nigeria advocates for empowering young women and children in her country through education.
She said in a short video clip for the MBGN pageant: “I strongly believe that education gives us a fighting chance and a voice, and I believe this is the true essence of beauty and who I am as an individual.”
Nigeria has won Miss World once with Agbani Darego, the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2001, and the first black African to win the international title.
