Chief Press Secretary to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Mr. Onyebuchi Ememanka has said the construction of Osisioma-Ngwa flyover by the governor is an indication of his bold step to affect the infrastructure of the state, urging people of Abia to be grateful that under the current administration, the state has a flyover.
Ememanka further said if previous administrations had constructed at least one flyover, the state would have had a lot of similar projects.
Appearing as a guest on FLO 94.9fm Umuahia, monitored by ABN TV, Mr. Ememanka insisted that it is unfair to compare Abia with other states that have several flyover projects, maintaining that there are states that can’t boast of one.
He added that since the creation of the state, the governor’s effort in the area of infrastructure can only by compared to that of Dr. Sam Mbakwe, saying the Governor has dwarfed the record of both the military and civilian governments.

The governor’s aide also frowned at the activities of some commentators whom he said do not rate the administration fairly, reminding them that Gov. Ikpeazu was elected in 2015 and not 1991 when the state was created.
While insisting that government is a continuum, Ememanka said there has not been visible political will to increase infrastructural stock in the state, saying some administrations only came and engaged in repair of roads done by their predecessors.
He praised the Governor for breaking new infrastructural grounds in the state which he said will accelerate development.
Ememanka said upcoming administration will have to focus on other activities without necessarily going back to the roads being constructed by this administration.
