In recognition of her dedication and hard work, the Transition Committee Chairman of Ohafia local government area of Abia state, Hon. Fred Eke Idika on Monday, 2nd March, 2020 rewarded the local government Head of Service, Lady Ndidi Nwagba with a brand new Toyota Sedan (Metallic Colour).
In his speech, during the presentation, the Chairman said that the success stories of his administration cannot be complete without the contributory efforts of the Head of Service.
He enjoined other Departmental Heads and Staff of the Council to toe the line of Lady Nwagba in order to improve on the internally generated revenue of the Council.
In her response, the visibly happy beneficiary, Lady Nwagba thanked the Council Boss and commended him for his unprecedented achievements within a short time in office.
She reaffirmed her total commitment to her chosen career and expressed her willingness to put more efforts in making sure that the confidence reposed in her by the Chairman and the general staff of the Council is not in vain.
The presentation was made in the presence of the Council Secretary, the Chief of Staff to the Chairman, the HOD – Works, the HPM, Chief Sampson Orji (Special visitor to the Council), amongst other personalities.
In a related development, a Mobile Clinic Ambulance donated to the Council during the tenure of Hon Engr. John Eke Njoku as the LG Chairman by Sen. Mau Ohuabunwa was returned to the LGA Chairman by Ezie Mba Odo Okereke (Ezieogo of Akanu Ohafia) in whose custody it was kept by the then Chairman – Engr. John Eke. This will surely boost the council’s intervention in health-related areas.
