Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has commended his alma mater, Government College Owerri for remaining examplery in academic excellence.
According to the Speaker, for several decades the college has retained its position at the top in our nation’s league of ivy schools to date.
The Abia number one lawmaker made this remark while reacting to the news that the College emerged second-best secondary school in Nigeria following assessments by a Presidential Monitoring Team.

As an Old Boy of the prestigious College, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji said he was proud of his association with the College and expressed delight that the excellence for which the school was known while he was a student there has been maintained to date.
