Speaker Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji has commended his deputy, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Uchendu for the completion of a new skills acquisition centre in Akanu Ohafia.
The Speaker who personally commissioned the project on Saturday stated that his deputy has demonstrated his uncommon love for the people of his Constituency which according to him is evidenced in his many verifiable projects across Ohafia South Constituency.
The Speaker also used the opportunity to again pledge his support towards equipping the Center with the necessary machines and other items which will help the center function effectively.
He also acknowledged the efforts of the women of the community who initiated the project while calling for more support for the Deputy Speaker to enable him to bring home more dividends of democracy.

Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Uchendu while handing over the project stated that the completion of the project was in response to an SOS call by the initiators of the project (Inyom Akanu).
He said he took over the project to relieve the women of the community the burden of the project which at some point became a course for concern for them.
He stated that alongside the Ibina Ohafia Health Care Center which was also commissioned on Saturday, the Akanu Skill Acquisition Center would get the same attention as he is prepared to contribute in providing the needed equipment at the centers in a short time.
Earlier in their Speeches, the traditional ruler of Akanu Community, Ezeogo Mba Odo Okereke, the President General of Akanu Ukwu Development Union, Chief Dom Emeri, and the President of Inyom Akanu Ohafia, Elder Nne Udy Ajike all thanked the Deputy Speaker for coming to the aid of the women.
They also appreciated the Deputy Speaker for being a true representative of his people and assured him of their continued support in his political career. The people of the Community also thanked the Speaker of the State House of Assembly and his entourage for coming to their community. According to them, the presence of the Speaker, coupled with his pledge to support in equipping the center has made them proud, noting that the Speaker has proved to be truly Ikuku Abia.
The community also used the occasion to honour the trio of Rt. Hon. Engr. Enyinnaya Orji, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Uchendu and Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole for their contributions towards the development of Akanu Ukwu Community.
The ceremony was well attended by major Stakeholders from Ohafia which includes; Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, Hon. Uko Nkole, Ohafia LGA Chairman, Dr. Okoroafor Ukiwe, Clerk of Abia State House of Assembly, Sir Johnpedro Irokansi, Barr. Ukpai Ukairo, Chief Kingsely Eke Imaga, Hon. Engr. John Eke, Rev.
