Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has commended the state governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for his foresightedness in embarking on projects that will impact the people of the state positively.
Speaking on Friday at the commissioning of the reconstructed Immaculate Heart Avenue, Umungasi Aba, Osisioma Ngwa LGA, the Speaker expressed gratitude to the Governor for his massive developmental strides in the State particularly in Aba the business hub of Abia.
While noting that the construction of quality and durable roads in the state will FastTrack the growth of small and medium businesses in the urban centre, the Speaker also commended governor Ikpeazu for making use of the rigid pavement technology especially in Aba.
Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orj observed that the economic importance of Immaculate Heart Avenue cannot be overemphasized, adding that the road is strategic in the commercial city of Aba.
“We are proud of you, we will continue to support you, don’t listen to detractors because anyone that will come out to say you are not doing well is simply an enemy of the State” the Speaker concluded.
In at attendance at the project commissioning include, Deputy Governor of Abia State, Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu, Secretary to the State Government, Barr Chris Ezem, Members of the State House of Assemby, Local Government Chairmen, Elder Statesmen, Traditional rulers, Clergymen, Market & Transport Unions and other top government functionaries.
