The governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu has hit the Senator representing Abia South, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe below the belt by describing him as a man whose time has expired.
The governor advised Sen. Abaribe to go home and take a deserving rest.
Appearing on a special media interview on Flow FM Umuahia on Thursday monitored by ABN TV, Ikpeazu who is also the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Abia South in the Saturday, Feb. 25 National Assembly election expressed confidence of winning.
He is expected to slug it out with Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe who just last year after a failed attempt to grab PDP governorship ticket decamped to APGA where he managed to secure the senatorial ticket.
Sen. Abaribe who has been in the Senate for at least 12 years has been accused of poor performance in the representative assignment.
