The campaign train of the All Progressive Congress candidate for the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, High Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke visited Uma Ukpai Polytechnic Ohafia where he had an interactive session with the excited students.
“It was no surprise at the way Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke was welcomed by the students and management of the institution. This buttresses the fact that “Mezie Abia” is a man loved and accepted by the people, both young and old from all dimension”, Oti Maduabuchi Orieji Chief Dan Okeke’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity said in a statement.
According to him, during his interactive session with the students, it was revealed that some of the students numbering over 20 who are in their final years under a scholarship scheme are stranded and will not be able to complete their studies as a result of setback on the side of their benefactor.
“Out of compassion and as a student and youth-friendly leader, he immediately offset their bills. The students who could not control their excitement expressed gratitude and assured him of their total support and votes in the forthcoming election“, the statement added.
Rector of the institution Apostle Barr O E Clement while expressing gratitude to Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke for his benevolence towards the students and the school, described him as a true leader.
He said Chief Okeke is the type Nigeria needs at all levels of government who has the interest of the people especially future generations at heart.
He also prayed for Chief Okeke’s success at the polls on Saturday.
