Abia Polytechnic Renamed After Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu

Governor Alex Otti has indeed renamed Abia State Polytechnic in Aba after Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, the first executive governor of Abia state, ABN TV reports.

This gesture honors Dr. Onu’s legacy and contributions to the state, particularly his role in establishing the polytechnic in 1992.

Dr. Onu was a highly respected statesman who laid a strong foundation for good governance and democratic principles in Abia State. His passing was met with an outpouring of condolences from various leaders, including Governor Otti, who prayed for eternal repose for Dr. Onu’s soul and fortitude for his family to bear the loss.

The renaming of the polytechnic is a fitting tribute to Dr. Onu’s enduring legacy in Abia State.
