“Time is gone when they used to go from house to house to harass our members. And I am sure nobody can do it in Abia State of today. If they try it, we march them back, if you harass us, we harass you back.

“Because there is no need to police innocent citizens in their villages. Or call them out and arrest them on the eve of election. We are not going to take it” he said.

While urging the people of Abia to identify all electoral officers in the various local governments, Sen. Kalu warned them against absconding while the election is still ongoing only for the electoral body to announce winners fraudulently.

The former Abia governor urged ABSIEC to take a cue from INEC with the conduct of Edo and Ondo governorship elections.

He further reminded the governor that time is coming when he will exit office as governor, advising him to supervise an electoral process that will add value to the country’s democracy.

The lawmaker insisted that the result sheets must be made available at the local government headquarters and not in anybody’s home or office.

He said anything short of that is unacceptable by the APC.
