The Abia State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in its ongoing efforts to combat crime, recovering six stolen vehicles during a sting operation in Aba.

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chioma Chinaka, operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) carried out an intelligence-led raid on January 20, 2025, at a criminal hideout in Uratta, Aba.

The operation led to the recovery of six vehicles, which were reportedly snatched at gunpoint. Some suspects were apprehended during the raid, while efforts are underway to track down other fleeing members of the syndicate.

The police have called on individuals who may have valid documents proving ownership of any of the recovered vehicles to visit the Abia State Police Command Headquarters for verification and possible retrieval.
