CP Danladi Isa
The Abia State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police (CP) Danladi Isa, has announced the disbandment of its Anti-Cultism Unit.
This action follows allegations of unprofessional conduct and incivility towards members of the public, marking a strong commitment to upholding accountability within the Force.
In a separate disciplinary action, Corporal Okonkwo Ebuka, attached to the Aba Area Command and on special duty in Isuochi, has been demoted to the rank of Constable. The decision came after he was found guilty of discreditable and unprofessional behavior during an orderly room trial.
According to a press release made available to ABN TV by the Public Relations Officer of the Abia State Command, ASP Maureen Chinaka, CP Danladi Isa emphasized the Command’s zero-tolerance policy for any form of misconduct by officers. He reiterated the Force’s dedication to professionalism, public service, and adherence to the rule of law.
The Commissioner stated that the actions taken are in line with the vision of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to create a service-driven and people-friendly police force. Members of the public are urged to report any unprofessional behavior by police officers to the Complaint Response Unit of the Abia State Command via 09031593827.
This decisive move highlights the Command’s resolve to restore public trust and ensure discipline within the Force.
