The ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Abia state has announced a postponement in the presentation of its governorship candidate’s manifesto, Prof. Uche Ikonne over the death of a former chairman of the party in the state.
This is contained in a release signed by Hon. Elder Abraham Amah, Abia PDP Vice Chairman/Acting State Publicity Secretary who also added that a new date would be announced subsequently.
“Following the unfortunate incident of the death of the former Chairman of Abia PDP and the Chairman of the Contact and Mobilization subCommittee of the 2023 Abia PDP Campaign Council, Chief Ndidi Okereke, the Abia PDP wishes to announce that the public presentation of the manifesto our guber candidate Prof. Uche Ikonne, scheduled to be held tomorrow, has been postponed,” he announced.

The party therefore informed its members that the State Party Secretariat at Finbars Street, Umuahia and all the 17 PDP Local Government offices will remain closed on Tuesday November 15, 2022 as a mark of respect to our deceased politician.
