Abia PDP Group Blasts APC For Blaming its Failed Ward Congress On Party

The All Progressives Congress in Abia State has been berated for blaming its failed ward congress in Abia State on the People’s Democratic Party.

This was made known in a statement released today in Umuahia by Abia Progressive Movement (APM), and signed by Comrade Chukwuma Nwankwo and Comrade Alozie Onuoha, Coordinator and Secretary of the group, respectively.

The group said it wondered how the APC “whose leadership base is made up of personalities of irreconcilable characters be expressing shock that its ward congress was an abysmal failure”, saying that, but for the likes of “High Chief Ikechi Emenike who has managed to sustain the little modicum of integrity that APC still clings to, the party would have since been buried in Abia State”.

The full statement reads:

“It was with amusement that we read a comical statement by a certain youth group of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia State, Youths For Progressive Alliance (YFPA), and concluded as we have always known that the APC in the State is all noise and no substance.

“Blaming its ill-fated Ward Congress in the State on the PDP is obviously an extension of the “No Network” syndrome that has engulfed the party in recent time.

“If not, how could a Party whose leadership base in the State is made up of personalities of irreconcilable characters be expressing shock that its ward congress was an abysmal failure, and laying the blame on the doorstep of the PDP?

“It is quite laughable that a party that has plunged the nation into irrecoverable poverty, bitter divisions and devastating insecurity, is talking about sacking the PDP in Abia State; a party that could not manage its own internal affairs even at the state level wants to lead the State; to where exactly? The same situation it has led Nigeria to? God forbid!

“But for people like High Chief Ikechi Emenike who has managed to sustain the little modicum of integrity that APC can still cling to, the party would have since been buried in Abia State.”
