Abia NSCDC Commandant Hosts NCS Controller, Assures Sustainable Support, Synergy [PHOTOS]

Abia state commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Mr. Ayinla Taiye Olowo has received his counterpart in the state command of Nigeria Correctional Service, Controller U.U Kalu where he assured the readiness of NSCDC to foster cooperation and support with NSC.

Controller U.U Kalu’s visit to Mr. Ayinla Taiye Olowo at NSCDC headquarters in Umuahia on Wednesday was part of his effort to strengthen inter-agency synergy in fighting crime in the state.

Earlier, the State Controller of Nigeria Correctional Service, Controller U. U Kalu said he was in the Command to appreciate the NSCDC Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi for approving the deployment of NSCDC operatives to protect Custodian Centers across the country, a statement obtained by ABN TV from the command’s PRO Supt Ndukwe Agu Egwu said.

Controller U. U Kalu equally thanked the State Commandant, Mr. Ayinla Taiye Olowo, Officers and Men of the Command for their support especially in ensuring the protection of Correctional facilities across the state.

Some facilities of Nigeria Correctional Service and other security formations had in recent times come under heavy attacks by some hoodlums in the South East and other parts of Nigeria.

The State Commandant of NSCDC while pledging to sustain the support said, “We have many reasons to continue to work together. Apart from being of the same parentage- Ministry of Interior, my Command shares boundaries with yours and an injury to one is an injury to all hence, we are stronger together”
