Abia LG Poll: PDP Strategizes To Win At It Fixes Meeting Of All Aspirants

As local government election in Abia draws closer, the major political parties, PDP and APC have started strategising towards a successful contest.

The leadership of PDP in Abia state has invited all the successfully screened Councillorship Aspirants, all the 17 local government Transition Committee Chairmen, the LG PDP chairmen and all the successfully screened Local Government Executive Chairmanship Aspirants for a meeting in Umuahia, the state capital.

A release signed by Chief Fabian Nwankwo, State Publicity Secretary of the party says the meeting scheduled to take place at its Secretariat at No. 45, Finbars Road Umuahia while 1pm on Wednesday 21/10/2020 is for briefing.

“The State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the Chairmanship of Rt. Hon. Alwell Asiforo Okere (PhD) and state working committee of the party have invited all the successfully screened Councillorship Aspirants for the forthcoming Local Government Elections under the PDP platform for an important meeting on Wednesday 21/10/2020 at Michael Okpara Auditorium in Umuahia by 10 am.

“A release signed by the State Publicity Secretary of the party – Chief Fabian Nwankwo also invited all the 17 local government Transition Committee Chairmen, the LG PDP chairmen and all the successfully screened Local Government Executive Chairmanship Aspirants for the forthcoming Local Government Elections under the PDP for briefing also on Wednesday 21/10/2020 at the Conference Hall of the party in its Secretariat at No. 45, Finbars Road Umuahia while 1 pm.

“The release further explained that the meeting and briefing were meant to prepare the Aspirants for the Councillorship Primary Election slated for Monday 26th and the Chairmanship Primary Election fixed on Wednesday 28/10/2020 respectively.

“Note that attendance is strictly for the invitees only,” the statement said.
