An Abia clergy and laundryman, Kelechi Mba has called on good-spirited Nigerians to come to his aid following losses running in millions of Naira he incurred after his shop in Umuahia, the state capital was gutted by fire, ABN TV reports.
The incident which occurred at Anglican Lockup Shops, no. 175 Bende Road Opposite Nkata primary school Umuahia, Abia state on Wednesday, September 29 also burnt to ashes customers’ clothes.
Speaking with ABN TV on Saturday, Mba who is a pastor with Presbyterian Church of Nigeria said he had travelled to Aba in the night when the incident happened.
Mba who also runs a barbing salon in the same shop said all items contained there were equally razed down.

While noting that some customers have as much as 25 cloths and 5 cassocks as in the case of a fellow minister of God with Anglican Church, the cleric listed items affected in the inferno to include washing machines, generators, industrial irons, clippers, sterilisers and others.
“The good-hearted Abians and Nigerians, we want to plead with you to come to our rescue. Help us in any way you can to address this issue, put up the shop and make it functional again.
“For our customers whose items were damaged in the fire outbreak, we plead with you to find a place in your heart and forgive us.
“This is a very disastrous incident. I know the worth of clothes that came into this shop. We will be grateful if you can forgive us” he pleaded.
