The Abia State Homeland Security Agency has suspended one of its personnel, DDL Tochi Oluebube, over alleged involvement in the vandalism of government property in Osisioma Local Government Area.
In an official press statement issued by the Agency’s Public Relations Officer, Ezinwanne Alili and made available to ABN TV, the management described the incident as a serious breach of discipline, reiterating its zero-tolerance stance on misconduct among its personnel.
According to the statement, the officer has been placed on suspension pending the outcome of a full-scale investigation being conducted in collaboration with the Nigerian Police Force. The agency assured that appropriate disciplinary measures would be taken in line with its code of conduct once investigations are concluded.
“The act of vandalism allegedly involving the named personnel will not be treated lightly. The officer is currently suspended, and due process will be followed to ensure justice is served,” the statement read.
The agency further assured the public that the investigation would be thorough, transparent, and impartial, emphasizing its commitment to accountability and the rule of law.
Reaffirming its mandate, the agency noted that it remains dedicated to protecting lives and property across Abia State, warning that any actions contrary to its mission would not be tolerated under the administration of Alex Chioma Otti.
Residents have been urged to remain calm as the investigation progresses, with the agency promising to provide further updates as necessary.
