The Abia State Government has announced the immediate suspension of Mr. Michael Aniorji from his position as Chairman of the Ariaria International Market, Aba.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Hon. Kingsley Chibueze Nwokocha, the government disclosed that Sir Hyacint Ositadinma Nnabude has been appointed as the Acting Chairman of the market.
According to the directive, Sir Nnabude will take charge of overseeing all market activities pending further instructions from the Ministry. The government further urged all unions, associations, and stakeholders within Ariaria International Market to extend full cooperation to the acting chairman in the overall interest of the market and Abia State at large.
The suspension and appointment, the Ministry emphasized, take effect immediately.
