In continuation with his familiarization tour, the commissioner of police Abia State CP Mustapha Mohammed Bala has paid a visit to the 2nd commandant of Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Finance Owerrinta, Captain (NN) Silvester Kennedy Ogogo.
Speaking during the courtesy visit the commissioner of Police CP Mustapha said as a conflict resolution expert and crisis manager ,the purpose of his visit is to create a good relationship with the Nigerian Navy in the state.
He said it is necessary to identify with the college as a supportive system and put hands together for peace and security in the state.
“We need your support, collaboration and engagements a synergy to pilot the security of the state” adding that the synergy is to have good relationship with the Navy and police down to the young officers.
He assured that under his administration he will work together with the Navy to see that security problems are solved in the state and the country at large.
The Commissioner seeks for support during the election and the campaign period stressing that there should be proper understanding between the officers for effective service delivery and protection of lives and property.
While receiving the commissioner of police, the commandant in charge of the college Captain Silvester Kennedy Ogogo said the college is delighted with the visit and assured the CP of adequate synergy .
He further stated that it has always been a mandate from the chief of Naval staff to always collaborate with the police to maintain peace .
“There have been synergy amongst the armed forces not just the Nigerian Navy with the police”
He promised that the members of the college and staff are ready to work with him and his officers to maintain peace and order in the state.
“You have indeed shown that you are a crisis manager”adding that the college will continue to support the police to ensure there is peace in the state.
Highlight of the visit is presentation of an award to the commissioner of police CP Mustapha Mohammed as a sign of appreciation for the visit to the College.
