In response to Wednesday’s deadly attack on soldiers, Abia State Police Commissioner, CP Danladi Isa led an operational patrol at the scene on Friday.
ABN TV reported that on Wednesday, November 13, gunmen attacked and killed soldiers attached to the joint Task Force of Operation UDO KA at a military checkpoint in Umuokpara.
CP Isa, accompanied by his entourage, met with Lt. Imran Adamu Musa and his team during the patrol. The exercise extended to Onuimo in Obowo Local Government Area of Imo state, which shares a border with Abia.

The Commissioner made critical security observations and provided advisory recommendations to enhance safety and security in the area.

The patrol is part of the command’s ongoing efforts to reduce crime and criminality in the region, as previously stated by Assistant Commissioner of Police Abubakar Jika.
