The commissioner of police Abia State CP Mustapha Mohammed Bala on Thursday paid a familiarisation visit to the Sector Commander RS9.3 Abia State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Paul I. Ugwu and the Commandant in charge of Abia command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Mohammed Hassan Sanyinna.
The CP said the visit seeks to interface and establish a working relationship with the sister agencies in the state.
He said it is necessary to identify with all other sister agencies in order to ensure effective service delivery for the people of the state.
“We are ready to work with you to establish service delivery, we need your support, collaboration and engagements, a synergy to pilot the security of the state” the CP to the FRSC Commander.
Noting the high rate of traffic jam in the state especially in Aba, he said there’s need to cement the relationship with the two agencies in their order to curb the situation during this festive season and the election period.
He assured that under his administration he will work together with the FRSC to see that security problems are solved in the state and the country at large.
The Commissioner called for support during the election and the campaign in order to have a proper understanding between the officers for effective service delivery and protection of lives and property.
While receiving the commissioner of police, the Sector commandant in charge of the RS9.3 Sector Command Paul I. Ugwu appreciated the CP for his visit noting that the command is ready to enjoy a working relationship with the Police.
Speaking on the high level of traffic jam in the state specially Aba the Sector Command said they have reached out to ensure the palliative works are done in some of the areas affected in other to curb the situation.
“We will do our best in the confines of our rules of engagement, and we will also ensure that anytime we have any information that will be useful to your office we will relate”.
He assured that they will do their best to ensure that they maintain the good working relationship that has been created.
Highlight of the visit is presentation of a book titled: Contemporary Road Safety Management to the commissioner of police CP Mustapha Mohammed as a sign of appreciation for the visit to the Sector Command.
At the visit to the NSCDC Commandant, the Commissioner said he came to receive blessings and as well to collaborate and establish synergy and a working relationship with the sister agency.
He said it is necessary to identify with all other sister agencies in order to ensure service delivery.

He assured that the command under him will work with the NSCDC to see that security problems are reduced to the barest minimum in the state and the country at large.
While receiving the commissioner of police, the Commandant Mohammed Hassan Sanyinna, the commandant in charge of the NSCDC State command Umuahia appreciated the CP for his visit noting that the command is ready to enjoy a working relationship with the Police.
He said that the Nigeria Police Force is the mother of all security agencies in Nigeria.
“We have benefitted greatly from the Nigeria Police in terms of Training and synergy since my resumption on July 10th I have not had any problem”.
He assured that they will do their best to ensure that they maintain they good working relationship that has been created.
