The newly deployed Commissioner of Police in Abia state, CP Mustapha Mohammed Bala has paid a courtesy visit to the state Controller Nigerian Correctional Service, Kalu Uche at Service’s headquarters in Umuahia.
This visit was part of his ongoing tour to seek synergy and support from sister agencies to strengthen security in the state.
Speaking during the visit CP Mustapha said Abia is his first point of call as a commissioner therefore he intends to deliver Abia as a peaceful state, which according to him requires working with all the security agencies in the State.
He said it is necessary to identify with all other sister agencies in order to ensure effective service delivery.
“We are all sister agencies we need to support each other and engage ourselves in making sure that Abia is safe,” he said.
He urged the Correctional service to come to him whenever they have challenges or need his support “our door is open for you”.
While receiving the commissioner of police, The Controller Nigerian Correctional Service Abia State Command, Kalu Uche appreciated the CP for his visit noting that the command enjoyed a good working relationship with the former Commissioner now AIG, AIG Janet Agbede.
He assured the CP of a better working relationship to ensure that the State maintains and improves in its security.
“I want to assure you of a good working relationship and you are the lead agency, we will follow you in your command”.
