As the March 27, 2021 Aba North/South Federal Constituency bye-election draws nearer, a group which calls itself AIF Media has alleged that only the candidate of APC, Hon. Mascot Uzor Kalu is campaigning round the communities in the constituency, saying PDP is afraid of meeting the people because they have no project to show as the ruling party in the state.
The group while insisting that the PDP looks unprepared for the election says from the look of things, even the assurances by the governor of the state, Okezie Ikpeazu to deliver the candidate of the PDP may not materialise.
It alleged that PDP governor is shying away from leading the party’s campaign to the villages because he has no project to showcase in those villages within the constituency.

According to the group, APGA Interactive Forum (AIF) Media, PDP is planning to hijack the electoral process.
AIF Media says a source confided in it to say, “PDP is already jittery. They are planning to rig this election. They are boasting that they have electoral commission and that most of the officers who will conduct the election are loyal to them.”
It said the source further claimed that, “APC has a very strong leaders in the state. They won’t allow any form of rigging. ”
The leader of APC in Abia, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu has been leading members of the party round the constituency seeking the vote of the people in the upcoming election.
The seat became vacant following the death of the former occupant, Hon. Ossy Prestige who passed on last month in Germany hospital.
