A chieftain of APC in Abia, Hon. Barr. Nnaemeka Otagburuagu has drummed support for the candidate of the party in the March 27, 2021 Aba North/South Federal Constituency bye-election, Hon. Mascot Uzor Kalu, saying he is capable and has enviable credentials to represent the people.
In a chat with ABN TV on Sunday, the former APC candidate for Isialangwa South state constituency said Hon. Mascot Uzor Kalu has over the years been active in community service, touching the lives of the people and rendering services to humanity.
Describing him as academically and intellectually sound, Barr. Otagburuagu said the former Abia Chief of Staff is well travelled and accepted within the federal constituency

He further noted that Mascot Kalu has an international exposure he would bring on board in representing the people in the House of Representatives.
According to Otagburuagu, if elected into office, Mascot Kalu will key into the party at the centre, the APC and attract dividends of democracy that will touch the lives of people of Aba North/South Federal, the state and the South East region in general.
While denying the rumour that APC leaders in Ngwa have planned to vote against him, Otagburuagu said Mr. Kalu is detribalisd enough to lead the people.
He called on members of the public to ignore the rumour, saying APC leaders in Ngwa are solidly behind Hon. Mascot Kalu, insisting that he will personally remain in the state until the APC candidate is declared winner in the Saturday election.
He, therefore, called on people of the State and Aba residents to massively vote for Hon. Mascot Uzor Kalu, saying he has capacity to change the face of infrastructure in the state.
