Abia Assembly Minority Leader, Hon. Chukwu Salutes Cowry Assets MD, Johnson Chukwu On Birthday

The Minority Leader of Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Chijioke Chukwu has congratulated the MD/CEO Cowry Assets Management Ltd, Johnson Chukwu at the occasion of his birthday, describing him as an asset to the nation.

Hon. Chukwu representing Bende North constituency in Abia State House of Assembly said Johnson Chukwu has for years carved a niche for himself through his timely interventions in discourse about the country’s economic growth and development.

In a felicitation message on Friday, Hon. Chukwu extolled Mr. Johnson for devoting his time and resources in educating Nigerians on economic decisions through series of media appearances where he has given quality counsels to the government and Nigerian masses on issues around economic management.

“It gives me so much pleasure to identify with such a national asset like Mr. Johnson Chukwu who has not only made a name for himself in investment banking, securities trading, asset management, real estate consulting and more but has also been an eye to the government in critical economic decisions and the Nigerian people as well.

“He has for over a decade been a robust resource person to media agencies in informing the public what steps to take in safeguarding their investments at various times.

“As the chairman of Virgin Forest Oil and Gas Ltd also, he has remained a major player in the downstream sector in the oil and has industry.

“The Omeziri Obodo one of Ugwueke in Bende Abia State, he has touched the lives of his people through the development of his community, which clearly manifests in his attraction of 6 kilometres Alayi-Ugwueke Road,” he said.

The lawmaker also commended Mr. Johnson for the award of scholarships to indigent and non-indigent students of Bende in an effort to enhance their fortunes in the future.

He said the people of Bende and Abia are proud of him as the lay President of Methodist Church Uzuakoli Diocese for his priceless contributions to make his society better.

“For the numerous developmental projects you have embarked upon, in health, infrastructure, education, economy, on behalf of my family and the entire people of Bende North, I celebrate you and pray God Almighty to continually make you a shining star in all you do,” he added.
