Minority Leader of Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Chijoke Chukwu has felicitated with Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu on his victory at the Federal High Court Abuja against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Chukwu, representing Bende North constituency Abia State House of Assembly says the victory is an affirmation that God fights for the weak and oppressed, adding judgment which orders EFCC not to retry Sen. Kalu over corruption-related allegation is a triumph of justice over oppression.

In a congratulatory message to Sen. Kalu, former governor of Abia state, he applauded the judiciary for standing on the path of truth and fairness.

The Abia Assembly member observed that the court not allowing Kalu to suffer again for an offence he has been tried in and acquitted saved him from suffering twice.
He urged Sen. Kalu to continue playing his role as a statesman and unifier.
