The member representing Isuikwuato Constituency, Abia State, Hon. Barr. Emeka Okoroafor has narrowly escaped kidnap along Akoli-Ahaba Imenyi Road in the state.
Speaking with ABN TV on Friday, the lawmaker said while he was lucky to escape from kidnap in the major road linking Umuahia/Ohafia/Arochukwu, one Barr. Nwosu was not lucky as he was kidnapped and released after ransom payment.
Hon. Okoroafor further noted that several bullets were shot at his vehicle.
He however expressed dissatisfaction that the recurrent kidnapping has been taking place at a particular spot, calling on security agencies to track down the perpetrators of the acts.
While stating that the heads of security agencies in the state have not shown concern, he alleged that no serious effort has been made to arrest the situation.

According to the lawmaker, the huge sums of money the suspected kidnappers received from families of victims has emboldened them.
